Grants

Through generous donations from individuals, corporate donors and community foundations, Variety DC offers select grants to children with mobility disabilities who are in special need of financial assistance.  Varying in amounts, these grants help families meet basic needs such as food, medicine and housing for their child with disabilities.  Read more about recent testimonials here.

Fundraising & Events

In addition to our grant program, Variety DC coordinates numerous fundraisers and events throughout the year in order to purchase life-changing equipment for children with mobility disabilities.  Items such as adaptive bikes and strollers can offer these children equality, greater mobility and higher quality of life, but are often too expensive for their families to purchase.  For this reason, Variety DC works closely with local advocates of the disabled community to identify and help families in need.

As a charity that is rooted in the entertainment industry, Variety DC’s fundraising efforts often include charity film screenings at local movie theaters.  However, we also coordinate a wide variety of community events such as golf tournaments, fun runs, raffles, auctions and other family-friendly fundraisers.
